In October 2013 Mazarine Energy Tunisia acquired a 45% interest in the Zaafrane Exploration License. The Tunisia National Oil Company ETAP (50% equity) is our major joint venture partner. The work program for the license was compiled and agreed upon in close cooperation with ETAP; Mazarine Energy was confirmed as the Operator of the license.
Mazarine Energy and ETAP applied for Douiret Prospection permit in August of 2016 which was awarded on 22 December 2017.
The Ghrib concession is shared between ETAP (50%), Mazarine Tunisia (45%) and Bizerte (5%) with a 30-year validity until Q3 2046.

The onshore Zaafrane permit initially comprised an area of 5168 km2 with exposure to producing field extensions and a significant portfolio of prospects.
