Mazarine Energy Romania S.R.L., a fully owned Romanian subsidiary of Mazarine Energy B.V. and OMV Petrom S.A. the largest oil and gas producer in South-Eastern Europe announced that parties reached an agreement on the transfer of 19 onshore fields plus three workover rigs and associated crews to Mazarine Energy Romania S.R.L.on xxth yy 2016.
On the 1st of August 2017 Mazarine Energy completed the Business Transfer Agreement of the 19 oil and gas fields from OMV Petrom.
The acquired fields are located in the Carpathian Foreland Basin and the Moesian Platform (in the Moldova and Muntenia regions). All 19 fields show potential for further development.
Mazarine is confident that its advanced technical capabilities coupled with a 3D seismic acquisition campaign have the potential to identify undrained areas in fields with complex tectonic settings. Mazarine has identified a number of production optimization and workover opportunities that will increase productivity and further develop the fields, in addition to an upside potential in excess of 10 Mln boe. Following the transfer of the fields, workover programs have been initiated in order to increase productivity and further develop the fields. Simultaneously, a portfolio of growth opportunities is progressed: two seismic surveys have been executed in Ileana and Campeni, a third one will be launched soon in Hârja, and drilling of new wells is ongoing in Ileana.
In September 2018, Mazarine reached an agreement with OMV Petrom to transferred an additional 9 fields in the Moldova area.
